On Ehyaa, ‘participant’ has a specific meaning: the person or group appearing in an event’s program — reading, speaking, performing — not simply an attendee. Your participant page gathers your followers and your schedule of participations in one place.

Before you start

You must be signed in with a user account (see Creating an account), and you need a mobile number that can receive text messages and is not already used by another participant application or profile. Think ahead about your participant types (see the Reference).

Submitting the application

1. Open the side menu and tap Apply for an participant membership. (If you do not see this item, your account already has a participant profile.)
2. Select one or more Participant Types that describe you — Quran Reader, Speaker, Radud, Dua Reader for example (up to five types).
3. Enter your Participant Display Name — the name the community knows you by.
4. Select your Country and enter your Mobile Number.
5. Write a short About Participant description.
6. Review your details and send the application. You will see The request has been sent.

Verifying your mobile number

1. Wait for a 4-digit code by text message (WhatsApp).
2. Type it into the four boxes and tap Confirm. If mistyped you will see Incorrect Code — try again.
3. If the code does not arrive, tap Resend Code.
4. If the number itself was wrong, tap Change phone number?, correct it and verify the new number.

Note

If you decide not to continue, tap Withdraw the request before the review finishes and apply again whenever you are ready.

Review and approval

After verification your request waits for review: Your request is under review — you will receive a text message when the review is completed. On approval your account gains participant capabilities: the Participations tab appears and the side menu offers Go to Participant.
